The even better news is that with a strong commitment to the environment, AllStarr Coaches is actively doing even more. As a Sydney based company, we remember the bad old days in the 1980’s when our beaches were closed because of pollution. So much has happened since, to raise society’s awareness. And that’s why we are setting our own higher benchmarks, to be mindful of our impact on water, air and noise.
Getting proactive
Not only do we comply with the high level of government regulations in place by the Environment Protection Agency (EPA) Transport Roads and Maritime Services and local government regulations, but we have gone even further to make a contribution, by purchasing an European powered engine, they come complete with the latest, most up to date low emission and low noise engine available to the market.
What else? While maintaining impeccably clean vehicles, we now use less water than ever before, by using water more effectively and efficiently. On fleet wash, we also use the latest “Quick Break” detergents, which are neutral and contain no environmentally harmful additives. Our wash bay then directs the waste water to a coalescing plate interceptor for further pre-release treatment. The W/C discharge is also treated before joining the sewer waste system.
Our latest news is that, in line with the think globally, act locally concept, we are looking at various alternatives to achieve carbon neutrality, and are actively investigating different carbon offset systems, including tree planting.
